Hello! My name is Tamara (Tammy) Waters and I live in Southern Illinois with my husband and three children - son K-Oz (11), and daughters Mim (9) and Rubenstein (7). No, those aren’t their real names - they’re fake names to protect the innocent

We homeschool all three kids and have always done so. K-Oz was diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome at the age of 7 after he’d been exhibiting symptoms for one year. In order to receive a TS dianosis, we were told that a patient must have exhibited and documented verbal and physical tics for a period of one year - then the diagnosis of TS is appropriate.

K-Oz also has comorbid OCD, ADHD and some senory integration issues.

We are a closeknit family and enjoy our life on our little mini-farm - 1 1/2 acre where we garden and have dogs, cats, chickens and fresh eggs every day.
